Commissions
If you would like to commission
a sculpture I would be happy to
create a unique work of art for
you. Please feel free to contact me
with your request for a proposal.
While the process involves a lot of
back and forth communication, it
would help if you would think
about and define a number of
ideas first, in order to expedite
matters.
-Theme-
Think about the general theme,
as opposed to the exact design,
that you would like to see.
generally, this is not a problem
as this is the major reason to
commission a piece.
-Space-
Think about where it will be
displayed. Is it going to be a
store front window display,
a wall hanging, a table top
display or a permanent
installation? Will it be tall
and thin or short and flat?
Do you want it to hang
from the ceiling?
-Power-
Will the sculpture have
continuous access to line voltage?
If hanging, do you want to have
a line cord running up to the
ceiling and over to a wall
receptacle? If battery powered,
how long will the sculpture
be left on and how often to do
you want to change the batteries?
-Noise-
All of my sculptures are, much
like myself, loud and obnoxious,
cacophonous and irritating. It is
simply not possible for me
to create a quiet machine. Please
keep this in mind when deciding
to place a clock sculpture,
say
Big Bong, on your spouse's
headboard.
-Budget-
This question most often
comes down to:
You: "What kind of sculpture
can you make for me"?
Me: "How much monies
ya got in yo pocket?"
In reality, because I enjoy
the creative process so much,
I usually can do more for you,
per dollar, than you might expect.
