Art-Kinetic-Clocks
Egg Timer
Egg Timer was an
exploration into hanging
clocks. Only a small
number were produced.
Each was a variation on
a lack of a theme. As it
is with many of my
sculptures, I am fascinated
by the paradox of a
mechanical metal object
describing something soft
or fragile, (Clockwork
Orange, Led Zepplin, Iron,
Butterfly, etc.).
This sculpture is an
accurate working clock
that was originally
powered by a small
120VAC, 60Hz clock
motor but later models
were battery powered
allowing the sculpture
to be hung without
a power cord.
