The Bird

 The Bird is an early warning system for my driveway. Given the imminent demise of civilization, We felt it necessary to devise a means to signal us when the desperate hoards are coming for our welding rod.

  This sculpture waits patiently until an heat sensor detects the presence of a mob of hot heads stumbling down our driveway. It then stands up to its fullest extent with its wings outstretched and lets out a loud screech, giving us plenty of time to grab our welding rod and skedaddle to the bunker, to continue production.
